A Sonic employee having a rough day received a blessing from a customer Saturday, and is looking for the person to say, “thank you.”
Cheyenne Solomon said around 5 p.m., on Saturday, she took an order.
“It was just a large birthday cake shake plain,” she said. “Well, the man was paying with a card, so I went in, ran his card and took him his receipt and card back. Before, I went back inside, I offered to throw away the wrapper off his straw.”
Solomon said she was about to take her lunch break, when the customer walked up to the door and asked for her.
“I thought something was wrong,” she said. “But the man just simply asked me, ‘Do you believe in God?’ And I told him, ‘of course.’”
Solomon said the man looked her in the eyes and handed me a $100 bill as a tip.
“I was so shocked,” she said. “I mean what exactly had I done to earn kindness like that? All I did was offer to throw away some trash for him as I do with just about every customer I wait on. But I was so shocked I never got a chance to thank him for his generosity.”
