Betty Charles Watkins

Mrs. Betty Charles Watkins, age 75, of Andalusia passed away Tues., Oct. 6, 2015, at Andalusia Regional.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 8, 2015, in the Keahey Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in the Andalusia Memorial cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service in the chapel.

Mrs. Betty was a graduate of Andalusia High School, a member of the Northside Baptist Church and retired from Farm Bureau Insurance as a district secretary.

Survivors include her sons, Alan (Lee) Watkins of Roswell, Ga., and Tracy (Wendy) Watkins of Tennessee; brother, Bob (Dr. Becky) Turner of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and sister, Linda Johnston of Plano, Texas; and grandchildren, Alec (Morgan) Watkins, Turner Watkins and Evan Watkins.

Mrs. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Raymond Watkins.

Emmett Thomas Childress, Jr.

Mr. Emmett Thomas Childress, Jr., age 82, of Andalusia died Sun., Oct. 04, 2015 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Childress will be held on Wed., Oct. 7, 2015, at 11 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church of Andalusia. The Rev. Jason Thrower will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Childress of Andalusia; son, Thomas Childress; daughter, Susan Gay; and sisters, Louise Truman, Vernell Reynolds, and Lovell Holley, all of Richmond, Va.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Thomas and Mary Childress, Sr., and sister, Mary Liggan.

 Margaret Ann Dubose

Mrs. Margaret Ann Dubose, age 71, of Andalusia died Sun., Oct. 4, 2015, at her residence.

Graveside services were held on Tues., Oct. 6, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Old Bethesda Cemetery in Loango. The Rev. Verni Scott officiated.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tracy Lawson (Tim) of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law; Troy Pearson (Barbara) of Deland, Fla.; grandchildren; Kenneth Pearson, Waylon Pearson, Amanda Pearson, Courtney and Travis Lawson; and great-granddaughter Alice Rose Pearson.

Foreman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
