Babbie man arrested for meth

A Babbie man is behind bars after Drug Task Force agents and the Covington County Incident Response Team found items used to manufacture meth in his home.

According to DTF agent Greg Jackson, on Tuesday, DTF assisted IRT with and Covington County Sheriff’s deputies execute a search warrant at the home of Christopher Kip Jacobs.

“During the search, agents located items used to manufacture methamphetamine to include pseudoephedrine, lighter fluid, drano, lithium, batteries and ammonium nitrate,” Jackson said. “Agents also located syringes, loaded with methamphetamine t and methamphetamine smoking devices.”

Jackson said several firearms were also located.

Jacobs was arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also arrested was Keary Owens for supplying pseudoephedrine to Jacobs.

He was charged with manufacturing second.
