The LBW Community College Student Veterans and Military Association (SVMA) in Andalusia invites the public to attend a Veteran’s Day program on Nov. 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Dixon Center for the Performing Arts.

“We would love for all area veterans to join us,” said SVMA Sponsor Donna Bass.

Larry Spann of Opp will deliver the keynote address, with all branches of the U.S. military recognized during the event, she said.

Spann served in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of sergeant, with overseas service in Vietnam, Korea, and Germany. He is a graduate of Elba High School and the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and recently retired from PowerSouth Energy Cooperative.

Nate Sallans, U.S. Air Force veteran, presently serves the group as president.
