Fall youth hunts planned in Clarke County

The Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries is sponsoring three youth deer hunts on the Fred T. Stimpson Community Hunting Area in Clarke County this fall. The hunting area is located off of Clarke County Road 15 approximately 12 miles south of Jackson, Ala. Online registration for the hunts will begin at 8 a.m. Oct. 23, 2015. Each youth may register for any or all hunt dates. Once selected for a hunt, the youth will not be eligible for future hunts unless all applicants have been previously selected for a hunt. One hundred youth hunters will be selected for each of the three deer hunts. Youth must be under 16 years of age on the day of the hunt and must be accompanied by a properly licensed adult 25 years or older, a parent or legal guardian. Only the youth may hunt.

• Saturday, November 14, 2015
• Saturday, November 28, 2015
• Saturday, December 19, 2015
Registration must be received by 8 a.m. on the draw date to be considered for that hunt. After 10 a.m. on the draw date, applicants can check their draw results online.
