Home, sweet home didn’t look so sweet

Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting our hometown – Andalusia. We still have family there and lots of wonderful memories and old friends. It is always a treat for us to visit Andalusia and after each visit we begin to look forward to our next visit. We are always greeted with warm Alabama hospitality.

But this trip left us a little sad. We were shocked to see the poor and neglected condition of so many houses and business structures. What has happened? Do the people who live here realize their city of beautiful tree-lined streets and gorgeous homes has fallen into such disrepair? Is anything being done to address the situation? Please tell us that Andalusia will rebound and the future will see its restoration.

Thanks again, Andalusia, for a warm and friendly welcome.

Sincerely,
