United Fund kicked off its 2016 campaign Tuesday with a breakfast at the heliport at South Alabama Regional Airport.

United Fund president Amanda Davis Wardle said the organization has set a $120,000 goal, which would be approximately $10,000 more than raised or agencies in 2015.

“We want businesses to know if they want to know more, or have us share with them, they can call. We will come and talk to employees about what we are doing for the community and how they can help.”

While some prefer to give a little each paycheck, others prefer to give one-time donations, she said.

“We happily accept either.”

Wardle, who manages Cadence Bank, said in her own business employees will have an opportunity to contribute to United Fund in exchange for a casual Friday.

“There are a lot of ways you can make fundraising fun for your business,” she said.
