Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Vanarsdall of Opp, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lori Alison Vanarsdall, to John Fletcher “Trip” Jones, III of Andalusia, son of John and Amy Jones.

The bride-elect is the grandaughter of the late Albert and Ida Ruth Gordon of Andalusia, and the late JW and Maudie Vanarsdall of Danville, Ky.

Lori is a 2009 graduate of Opp High School. In 2013, Lori graduated cum laude from Auburn University with a degree in accounting. The bride-elect is currently employed as an accounts examiner with the state of Alabama.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. and Mrs. J. Fletcher Jones of Andalusia, the late Mr. Frank L. Williamson of Florence, Ala., and Mrs. Martha Williamson Parker of Andalusia.

Trip is a 2006 graduate of Andalusia High School. In 2009, Trip graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with a degree in Communication & Information Sciences. Trip serves as youth minister at Central Church in Andalusia.

The wedding will be held on the 7th of November at First United Methodist Church in Andalusia. The couple will reside in Lewisburg, Tenn.
