‘Tis the season to give.

That is the sentiment Sonja Godwin, director of Andalusia’s Adult Activity Center and her staff are hoping many people in the area will implement as the AAC works to collect food and other items for senior citizens who are homebound during the holiday season.

Godwin said the AAC, a program operated by the City of Andalusia, currently has 56 seniors who are homebound, and is working diligently to provide bags full of food and other needed items for each person.

The following items are needed:

• Canned meats;

• Canned vegetables;

• Canned soups;

• Canned fruit;

• Snack crackers;

• Jello pudding;

• Fruit cups;

• Any individual juice boxes or Capri Suns;

• Kleenex; and

• Toilet paper.

All donations can be delivered to the Adult Activity Center or call 222-6891 for pick-up.

Deadline is Dec. 4.
