For the second year in a row, the Andalusia Termites completed their season with a Big Iron Bowl championship.

The Bulldogs pitched a shutout in the opener against McKenzie and then held of the Brewton in the finals to claim their second title.

Andalusia and McKenzie got things started off in the Termite division and it was the Bulldogs who came away with a big 27-0 shutout win.

The Bulldogs defense started off strong and stopped the Tigers to start the contest.

After the defensive, the Bulldog’s offense got things started when A.J. Coleman connected with a Conner Dalton for a 5-yard gain. A few plays later, Kaden Denson waltzed into the end zone from 10 yards out.

Colmen and Dalton hooked up again on the next drive for a big 16-yard gain that set up a 25-yard touchdown run from Denson. Coleman connected with Dalton on the extra-point to give the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead.

Jamarian Burnette added a 3-yard touchdown a few drives later to put the Bulldogs up 21-0.

Coleman capped off the scoring with a 22-yard score early in the fourth quarter.

In the next game, Red Level and Brewton battled to find out who would go on to play the Bulldogs in the championship game.

It was a closely contested game the entire game, but a stop on an extra point attempt from Brewton gave them a 7-6 edge over Red Level.

In the championship game, the Andalusia and Brewton defenses were both ready to put on slugfest.

For the second game in a row, it was stopped extra point attempt that turned out to be the difference in the game, but this time it was the Bulldogs who came up with stop and the Big Iron Bowl victory with a 7-6 win.
