Residents from the Andalusia area will have the opportunity to gather together for the annual community Thanksgiving service  on Tues., Nov. 24.

This year’s event, sponsored by the Greater Andalusia Ministerial Association, will be held at First United Methodist Church, with St. Mary’s rector, the Rev. Dr. Cindy Howard, delivering the Thanksgiving message.

“I look forward to our Community Thanksgiving Worship each year,” Howard said. “It is a wonderful time to remember the true reason that we celebrate Thanksgiving, coming together to share our gratitude for all the amazing gifts we are given and to look forward to the possibilities for our community toward which we can work together.”

Music will be brought by the Area Combined Choir.

Each year the association holds the service at a different host church on the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week.

“This offers everyone the opportunity to join together in grateful praise to God,” said the Rev. Clyde Northrop.

The event will be held Tues., Nov. 24, at 7 p.m.
