Friday’s basketball action at Andalusia High School got started with the B-team Bulldogs fending off the Opp Bobcats with a 51-41 victory.

The Bobcats kept the score close until the Bulldogs edged away at the end.

E.J. Reed and Shaun Tillis both drained 3-pointers. Two points each from Tyler Schively and Jacob King gave the Bobcats their first-period points.

Curtis Daniels was the leading scorer in the first period with 5 points for the Bulldogs.

R.J. Drish knocked down a first-period 3-pointer and a layup from Kendrick English came up with Andalusia’s  10 points.

Taylor Rhudy picked up 7 big points for the Bulldogs in the fourth to led Andalusia to the win.

Daniels finished as the leading scorer with 16 points and Drish finished with 15 points. Rhudy finished with 7 points.

Tillis buried four 3-pointers to lead the Bobcats with 14 points and Reed finished with 11 points.

“We did a good job adjusting on the fly tonight,” Andalusia coach Brad Goldman said. “R.J. Drish shot the ball well in the second half and Curtis Daniels did a good job getting down in the lane on fastbreaks.”
