Holly Jennifer Helmers

Holly Jennifer Helmers, 40, a resident of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Dec. 2, 2015, at a local hospital.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 9, 2015, at River Falls Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Walker officiating and Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Ms. Helmers was born July 23, 1975, in Eau Claire, Wis., and moved to Largo, Fla., at an early age. She has resided in Andalusia for the past two years.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Freiver; her parents, Dennis and Judy Helmers; her brothers, Eric Plummer, Brian Gipps, Lowell Helmers, and Bradley Helmers; and her sister, Lisa Plummer.

 

Robert Bruce Marley

Mr. Robert Bruce Marley, age 83, of Newton, passed away Sat., Dec. 5, 2015.

A celebration of life service will be held at Ward Wilson Funeral Home on Tues., Dec. 8, 2015, beginning at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by the Rev. Jean Spikes.

The family will receive friends on Tues., Dec. 8, 2015, one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Hathaway Marley; sons, Don Marley (Linda) of Geneva, Jimmy Marley (Dale) of Andalusia; daughters, Janet Marley Santini of Alabaster, Susan Marley Goodson (Billie) of Huntsville; brother, Marvin Marley (Sarah) of Graceville; sister, Lynoma Coffey of Atlanta; grandchildren, Candice Marley Conner (Josh), Megan Marley, Brooke Marley Cameron (Matthew), Nicole Marley Arbuckle (Brandon), Ashley Santini, Natalie Santani, Lauren Goodson Covey (Aaron), Kimberly Goodson, Jenny Goodson Elliott (Matthew), Kristin Goodson; great-grandchildren, Marley and Gabel Conner, Caroline, Andrew, and Benjamin Cameron, Rowan and Stanley Arbuckle, Nathaniel King, Parker, Rylan, and Kennedy Covey, James Goodson, and Cooper Elliott; and many other relatives and friends.

Robert Bruce Marley was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Lillie Mae Marley and his brothers, James, Shyne, and L. E. Marley.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Cameron, Matthew Elliott, Aaron Covey, Josh Conner, Todd Marley, Brandon Arbuckle, and Mike Inscho.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the New Providence Church of the Nazarene uilding Fund, 29648 Antioch Road, Andalusia, AL 36421.

 

Quince Allen Estes

Mr. Quince Allen Estes, age 80, of Andalusia, Ala., died Sun., Dec. 6, 2015, at a local hospital.

A graveside service for Mr. Estes will be conducted 11 a.m. on Thurs., Dec. 10, at Bivens Chapel Cemetery in Brookside, Ala., with Bro. Jerry Elmore officiating. Visitation will be Wed., 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home in Opp. Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to Mt. Olive Bible Church in Opp.

Mr. Quince is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann Estes; sons, Billy Joe Estes and Jimmy Arnold Estes; brothers, David Key and Bobby Key; sisters, Glenda Brandon, Brenda Grecco and Virginia Cochran; special niece, Rose Marie (George) Trost; nephews, Buddy Estis, Allen Estis and Chris Estis; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charles Edward Bradley

Mr. Charles Edward Bradley, 89, of Franklin, Ga., died Fri., Dec. 4, 2015.

Mr. Bradley was born Feb. 22, 1926, in Enterprise, Ala. He was a brick mason by trade. His greatest joy in life was his family and to be able to fish. Mr. Bradley was a member of the Church of Christ in Hogansville, Ga.

Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nevelyn Bradley; five sons, Benny Bradley, Ricky (Darlene)Bradley, Bobby (Connie)Bradley, Jimmie Bradley, Lee (Deborah) Bradley; three daughters, Kathy (Bruce) Hopkins, Gail Bradley, and Donna (David) Burge; three stepdaughters, Shirley (Robert) Stepherson, and Sandra (Bill) Burgess, Patsy (Jeff) Scott; a brother, Robert Bradley; one sister, Willie Pearl Sedaker; 29 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Pearl Bradley; a daughter, Mary Jean Stuckey; three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Mon., Dec. 7, 2015, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was at Foreman Funeral Home. Ministers Brad Crider and Mike Mefford officiated the service.

The family would like to express a special word of thanks to family and friends and staff of Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Pallbearers were Bert Reeves, Chuck Bradley, Curtis Bradley, Danny Bradley, Shelby Strickland, and Trent Hollis.

Honorary pallbearers were Todd Benton and Derrick Benton.
