The 49th Annual Andalusia Invitational Basketball tournament is set to begin today with several teams from the county and the surrounding area gearing up to battle for the championship at the Andalusia High School gymnasium.

Red Level and Opp make returns to the tournament again this year, and Straughn joins the tournament in place of Enterprise.

Red Level and Luverne get the tournament kicked off at 4 p.m.

Two non- Covington County teams, Elba and Hillcrest-Evergreen, match up for the second game at 5:30 p.m.

County teams get back to action at 7 p.m., when Straughn goes up against Opp.

The final game of the opening round will be between Andalusia and the Brantley Bulldogs at 8:30 p.m.

Friday’s second-round action will pick back up at 4 p.m., and follow the same schedule as Thursday.
