Andalusia area residents are having a blast in Candyland, but lots of others are enjoying the event, too.

Thursday night, City of Andalusia Director of Planning and Development Andy Wiggins snapped the photograph of the little girl on the left, who is from Crestview. She came with her family to ice skate at Springdale on Sunday afternoon, but arrived at closing time. Seeing how disappointed she and her friends were, the city employees who were running the skating rink kept it open so the visitors could skate. On Thursday evening, she showed up again, and her mom told the crew she had been reminding her family all day, “It opens at 5 today.”
