Opp takes out Luverne

The Opp Bobcats picked up a fifth place finish Saturday in the 49th Annual Andalusia Invitational Tournament with a 70-45 victory over the Luverne Tigers.
Opp came barrelling out of the gate to start the contest and built a 20-11 lead by the end of the first period.
Devontae Williams accounted for 7 points for the Bobcats in the first period, and Orlando Lacey had 6 points.
The Bobcats continued to roll in the second period 6 more points from Lacey to put Opp on top 34-23 at halftime.
Luverne came out with a little intensity in third period and out scored the Bobcats 13-10, but still trailed 44-36 heading into the final period.
Lacey, Williams, Ty White, Evan King and Greg House each 2 points each for the Bobcats in the third period.
The Bobcats absolutely lit up the scoreboard in the final period to the tune of 26 points to give them a 70-45 win.
Williams added 6 more points, including a 4-for-4 effort at the free-throw line in the final period.
Williams led the Bobcats with 17 points and Lacey finished with 16 points in the victory.
