Got some last minute Christmas shopping to do? You aren’t alone. The businesses at Trio in Andalusia have seen an increase in shoppers rushing to complete their Christmas lists this week.

“Traffic has really picked up this week,” Pink Peppers Marrianne Harper said. “We have been opening up earlier and staying open later, and that has helped customers out a lot.”

Harper said there have been several hot ticket items this year, but the biggest thing has been clothing items that can be embroidered.

For men who aren’t sure what to get for wives, girlfriends and mothers, Harper said the girls at Pink Pepper are more than happy to help out.

“We want to encourage men that aren’t sure what to get to come let us help you out,” Harper said. “The girls here love helping people out and we really enjoy helping someone find the perfect gift.”

At Town and Country, Daphne Posey said the store has been filled this week with husbands and boyfriends.

“The last week before Christmas, and there have been a lot of husbands and boyfriends shopping for the girls in their lives,” Posey said. “We always get hit up by the men these last few days before Christmas, and some of them show up in a panic.”

Chris Lawrence of Christopher’s Fine Diamonds and Jewelry said they have been filled with all kinds of people this week.

“It has been really busy so far this week,” Lawrence said. “We are selling things across the board. Nothing has really sold more than anything else, except for engraving Yeti cups.”
