Santa’s made his list and he’s checking it twice, but for most good little boys and girls there’s nothing more fun than tracking Santa on Christmas Eve.

This will be NORAD’s 60th year of tracking Santa.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command began the program in the 1950s after a mistake in a newspaper advertisement listed the hotline number for NORAD’s precursor.

NORAD will be up and running around 6 a.m., Thursday.

Updates will be provided by Facebook, Twitter, email and via phone and there will be a live tracking of Santa’s sleigh.

The website estimates it gets nearly 9 million visitors each year.

Kids can call 1-877-HI-NORAD or send an email noradtrackssanta@outlook.com or login to nornadsanta.org.
