Superintendent Coleman Jones

Superintendent Coleman Jones, 72, of Andalusia, passed away Fri., Dec. 25, 2015, in the Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be at noon, Fri., Jan. 1, 2016, at First Baptist Church, 700 East Three Notch St., Andalusia, AL 36420. Visitation will be Thurs., Dec. 31, 2015, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Marshall-Hammond Funeral Home, 400 Snowden Drive, Andalusia.

He was the 15th child born to the late Tom and Roberta Jones on Oct. 12, 1943, in Lockhart. He touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity. He leaves to cherish his memories, five loving children, Sherrie Jones of Tuscaloosa, Melvin Jones of Cottondale, Ala., Cassandra Jones of Andalusia, Ellen Jenkins of Jonesboro, Ga., and Charlie (Terri) Jenkins of Montgomery; brothers, Johnny (Jean) Jones and Lamar Jones, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; treasured grandchildren, LaDarius Jones, Jonniecia Jones, Kohlman Jones, Syrenthia Jenkins, Dexter Jenkins, Charlie Jenkins Jr., Shawndolyn Jenkins, James Jenkins, and Daniel Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Jaynecka Jenkins, Treymia Jenkins, and Ron-Drell Jenkins; caring in-laws Annie Jenkins of Montgomery, Mary (Grover) Hatten of Montgomery, Bessie Jenkins of Newark, N.J., Edith Campbell of Elba, Louise Jenkins of Gautier, Miss., Obadiah (Gloria) Jenkins of Enterprise, Willie (Cynthia) Jenkins of Montgomery, Eddie Lee Jones of Milwaukie, Wisc.; and a host of nieces, nephews, several god-children, relatives and friends, as well as a devoted church family and caring community/neighbors.

His wife of 45 years, Janie Jenkins Jones, preceded him in death.

Superintendent Coleman Jones was the pastor of Miracle Temple Church of God In Christ, Brantley, Ala.

 

Jeffery L. Biggs

Mr. Jeffery L. Biggs, 40, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., Dec. 30, 2015, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Sat., Jan. 2, from Bethany Baptist Church with Brother Billy Boles and Brother Art Burroughs officiating. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Fri., Jan. 1, at Foreman Funeral Home and he will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services in the church.

He is survived by his wife, Kiley Biggs of Andalusia; son, Matthew Biggs of Andalusia; father and mother, Carroll and Judy Biggs of Andalusia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Josh Ritter of Andalusia and Caroline and Ron Bishop of Fairhope; five nieces; two nephews; his mother-in-law, Karel Doggette of Magnolia Springs; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mr. Jessie Sirmon of Andalusia passed away Wed., Dec. 30, 2015.
