Claudia Taylor Brown

Claudia Taylor Brown, 85, originally from Andalusia, passed away on Wed. Nov. 25, 2015, at her home in Carlsbad, Calif.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 7, 2016, in the chapel at First Baptist Church of Andalusia.

Her remains will be interred at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery on Saturday in a small family commitment.

Claudia was the second child born to Angelyn Givens and Robert Perkins Taylor on Dec. 31, 1929. She was a member of Andalusia High School’s Class of 1948 and attended Auburn University. She was an accomplished artist, active church member and loving mother of three children.

She is survived by her son, Robert P. Brown of Denver, Colo.; her daughter, Mary Angelyn Brown; and grandsons Christopher and David Patrick of Sunland, Calif.

Her husband of 60 years, J. Reese Brown II, and her eldest son, Reese III, preceded her in death.
