Comedian Sonya White will entertain at the 2016 Little Black Dress Event, set for Sat., Feb. 6, at the Andalusia Country Club.

Originally from Virginia, White has combined Southern charm with big city street smarts to create a show that won her multiple appearances on CBS’ “Star Search” and a promo spot on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing 4.” Sonya also worked with the CMT production “Southern Fried Chicks.”

The dinner, fashion show and silent auction that’s just for women will benefit the Covington County Imagination Library, a literacy program that provides free books to children residing in Covington County from birth to age 5 years.

Currently, the program is mailing 877 hard cover books to youngsters in Opp, Andalusia, and Florala each month.

There also will be a drawing for a week at the beach, along with a gas card for contribution, contributed by Roy Mohon.

Tickets for the Little Black Dress Event may be purchased at Harold’s Furniture, 526 E. Three Notch Court, Andalusia.

Individual tickets are $100; a table for six is $500.
