There are only eight county roads which remain closed as a result of damages sustained during Christmas flooding, county engineer Darren Capps told county commissioners Wednesday.

Those roads are:

• Chalker Road

• CR 49 (Antioch Road)

• Hammett Road

• Jack Kelly Road

• Mitchell Road

• Prestwood Road

• Starflower Road

• WB Farm Road

“Some of these will take a while,” Capps said.

The federal highway administration surveyed six sites that qualify for funding on Monday, he said, adding that FEMA conducted its preliminary disaster assessment here last week.
