Police officer involved in crash

A River Falls police officer was involved in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday evening.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesperson Kevin Cook, officer Charles Dewayne Ham was involved in the incident that occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 84 and Hwy. 55 around 6:54 p.m.

Trooper Amis investigated the incident, Cook said.

The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Also involved in the crash was Lanie Norris House, 34, of Frisco City, who was driving the second vehicle involved and Wade Adam Bigler, 40, of Jacksonville was driving a 2015 Toyota Sienna.

Cook said Bigler had two children in the vehicle, who sustained minor injuries.

The River Falls Police Department’s 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe was totaled during the incident.
