Althea Mae Beesley

Mrs. Althea Mae Beesley, age 87, of Andalusia passed away at her residence on Jan. 15, 2016. She was a native of Conecuh County, but had resided in Andalusia all of her adult life. She never retired as a homemaker for her beloved family. Mrs. Beesley was a faithful member of the Andalusia Church of God.

Mrs. Beesley was preceded in death by her parents, Walker D. and Delilah Brown; her loving husband of 53 years, M. Coy Beesley; a son, Timothy L. Beesley of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Estelle Spurlin and Verice Hollingsworth; and three brothers, J.C. Brown, Vernon Lawrence Brown and Jessie Brown.

Mrs. Beesley is survived by one sister, Bessie (Calvin) Owens of McCalla, Ala.; two sons, M. DeWayne Beesley of Monroeville, and Michael A. Beesley of Gainsville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Nicholas Beesley of Jackson, Tenn., Kyle Beesley of Crystal Lake, Ill., Angela (Justin) DePlato of Pittsburg, Pa., and Rachel Christenen of Springfield, Mo.; and six great-grandchildren, Tollie Beesley, Olivia Beesley, Bella G. DePlato, Harrison DePlato, Juliana DePlanto, and Marjorie DePlato.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wed., Jan. 20, at the Andalusia Church of God with Brother Glenn Vaughn and Brother Carl Turman officiating. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Andalusia Church of God.

Louise King

Norsworthy

Mrs. Louise King Norsworthy, 80, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., Jan. 16, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Mon., Jan. 18, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating. Interment followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tracy Lee and Karen Norsworthy of Andalusia; her daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Rodney Robinson of Dothan, and Becky Louise and Kenny Davis of Dothan; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Comfort Care Hospice or the charity of your choice.

Glyndia Bowen Baker

Mrs. Glyndia Bowen Baker, born Jan. 15, 1946, entered eternal rest with her Lord on Jan. 15, 2016. She now fellowships with friends and family in the presence of our Holy God. On this day, Jan. 15, 2016, her work on earth was completed.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bob; her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Lisa Scruggs of Red Level and Bobby and Mia Baker of Opp; daughter and son-in-law, Darleana and Andy Marshall of Panama City Beach; grandchildren, Ben (Terica) Adkison of Mobile, Kelsi and Hannah Scruggs, Kayla and Ethan Baker, Chandler, Jaxon, and Hylton Marshall; brother and sister-in-law, Tirey and Susan Bowen; sisters and brother-in-law, Gayle and Sam Smith and Jane Bowen; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Jewel Bowen; brothers, Stanley and Donnie Bowen; sisters, Diane Ledbetter and Sandra Browder; and nephews, Sammy Smith and R.T. Browder.

Funeral Services were held on Sun., Jan. 17, 2016, at 2 p.m. from Foreman Funeral Home with Rex Tolbert officiating the service; interment will follow in Bushfield Cemetery in McKenzie.

Pallbearers included Ricky Smith, Ray Bowen, Trae Bowen, Darrell Baker, David Baker, Aron Bowen, Stephen Bowen, and Terry Ledbetter, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made in Mrs. Baker’s memory to Comfort Care Hospice or charity of choice.

Anthony Hollis “Tony” Brown

Mr. Anthony Hollis “Tony” Brown of Andalusia passed away Fri., Jan. 15, 2016, in a Pensacola hospital.

A memorial service will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Brown of Andalusia; sons, Clay (Amy) Brown of Andalusia, Monty Kirkland of Andalusia, David (Leila) Kirkland of Andalusia, and Tony (Flilica) Kirkland of Andalusia; daughters, Kimberly Kinsman of Andalusia and Gena Thomas of Enterprise; brothers, Buddy Lee Brown of Opp and Bill Brown of Dothan; a sister, Marlene Willis of Elba; numerous grandchildren, and one great-grandchild

He was preceded in death by two sons, Christopher Brown in 1994 and an infant son, Michael Brown.
