A new tradition has come to River Falls.

Mayor Pro Tem Mattie Freeney’s passion has been the River Falls Community Center.

Earlier this month, they held a game night, and Freeney said they were going to continue the event on the third Saturday of the month.

“If you were not there you missed a wonderful time of fellowship, fun and hours of laughter,” Freeney said. “We did six games and watched a little football.”

Freeney said it’s just a new way for the residents of River Falls to come together and fellowship.

“It’s just a good way for us to enjoy some time together,” she said.

They played games including dominoes and cards.

Freeney said that that concessions will be sold.

“This past time we had hot dogs, but it will vary,” Freeney said. “It may be chili next time.”

Freeney said there will be drinks and other items available.

The event begins each third Saturday of the month at 2 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m.
