Big second half lifts Cavs over Hawks

In Andalusia City League basketball action Thursday night at the old Andalusia Middle School gym, the Cavaliers held off the Hawks for 32-26 win.

Hudson Dean started the Cavs off with a 3-pointer to take a 3-0 lead.

At the end of the first, the Cavs were up 9-4.

The Hawks battled back in the second period, but trailed 19-16 at halftime.

Tyler Sigers got the Hawks going with in the third and they took a 23-21 lead into the final period.

A big effort in the closing period from Michael Hourel Jr., put the Cavs out front late in the game where they held off the Hawks for a 32-26 win.

Hourel led the Cavs in scoring with 10 points. Keon Marshall finished with 10 points and Dean had 7 points.

Tyler Sigers finisehd with 10 points for Hawks and Tevin Sigers had 7 points.
