The Andalusia City League Celtics powered past the Bulls on Thursday night at the old Andalusia Middle School gym with a 22-15 victory.
Jordan Stallworth got the Celtics off to a strong start as he knocked down a pair of free throws to open up the game.
Kaden Denson followed with a steal and layup to put the Celtics on top 4-0.
Stallworth made the score 6-0 with a jumper from the paint, and the Celtics closed out the opening period with a layup to take an 8-0 lead into the second period.
In the second period, Stallworth got the scoring started with a 1-for-2 trip to the free throw line.
The Bulls then got on the board when Tycameron Jackson went up for a layup after grabbing and offensive rebound.
At the end of the second period, the Celtics held an 11-2 lead.
Jackson got the Bulls rolling in the third period with a smooth layup to cut the lead to 12-4.
Jackson continued the strong effort and help the Bulls cut the lead to 13-9 heading into the final period.
Both teams continued to battle it out in the final period, but 6-straight points from the Celtics gave them a 22-12 lead late in the contest.
Not looking to give up, the Bulls got a free throw from Cameron Answorth and a jumper from Jackson Daylan, but it just wasn’t enough to overcome the Celtics lead.
Stallworth led the Celtics with 9 points. Denson finished with 5 points and Dominick Sinkfield and Gartland Williams each finished with 3 points.
Jackson led the Bulls with 8 points. Brayden Awalt added 4 points, and Daylan finished the night with 2 points.
