Covington County residents now have another option when it comes to banking – Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union.

Lisa Hales, vice president of marketing of AACFCU said the new store located at 301 Cumming Ave., in Opp, opened on Jan. 4.

Four employees currently work at the branch.

“We have seen a lot of traffic,” she said. “We already had members in the Opp area. They are taking advantage. We have also had a lot of people coming in and wanting to open an account.”

Hales said the credit union has 13 locations in the Wiregrass area, two in Walton County, Fla., and five in Mobile.

“We want to connect the dots from the Wiregrass to Mobile,” she said.

The store is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

On Fridays, the drive thru is open until 6 p.m., for customer convenience.
