Those interested in purchasing their first home, but have no idea where to start or who are looking for additional tips, may be interested in a workshop sponsored by a local Realtor.

MaryAlyce Outlaw, owner of Outlaw Realty, said that this Saturday and next Sat., Feb. 6, her company will sponsor a free first time homebuyers’ workshop at the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We will have mortgage companies on site; credit repair companies; tips on how to purchase your first home; and we’ll be able to pull up local listings for you,” she said. “We are using this as a learning tool to help you through the process.”

Outlaw said she wanted to provide this free service to the community because so many people don’t have a clue how to buy a house or what kind of documentation is needed.

The event will be held both Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Lunch will be provided.
