Looking for somewhere local to treat your sweetheart for Valentines Day?

Christ the King Catholic Church may have the right solution for you with its 17th annual Italian Dinner on Sat., Feb. 13.

Organizer Randy Kuhn said Monday they plan to make about 500 meals and tickets are on sale now.

“We do sell tickets early and on the day of the event,” he said. “Last year we served 500 meals.”

Kuhn said this year’s menu will be a choice of lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs, homemade bread, Italian salad and pizelle.

Children’s plates are $5 and are for children 2-12, and adults plates are $9.

Kuhn said those who choose to dine in will get an Italian restaurant-type feel complete with checkered-table clothes and drippy candles.

“We make it fun,” he said. “The kids serve everyone.”

Proceeds from the event go to help fund the youth’s mission trip for the summer.

“When you come in and eat with us, you get your choice of beverage, as well,” he aid. “We will also have a dessert and cappuccino bar, which costs extra.”

The event will kick off at 4 p.m., and will last until 8:30 p.m.

A carry-out option is available.

Those interested in purchasing advanced tickets may contact Kuhn at 488-5304.
