The Andalusia Bulldog B-team picked up a 51-47 victory over the Carroll-Ozark Eagles Tuesday night in Andalusia.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 12-5 lead after one period of play, and R.J. Drish led the way with 6 points for Andalusia in the opening period.

Curtis Daniels dropped in 4 points for the Bulldogs in the first.

The Bulldogs continued to roll in the second period with 3 points each from Drish and Undre Johnson.

At halftime, Andalusia was on top 23-13.

The Eagles battled back in the third period, but 6 points from Drish kept the Bulldogs out front 34-28 heading into the final period.

After the Eagles started the fourth with a bucket, Drish knocked in a pair of free throws to make it 36-30 with just under five minutes remaining in the ball game.

A pair of free throws from Kendrick English then put Andalusia up 38-32 with 3:57 remaining.

The Eagles weren’t going away trimmed the lead down to 4 points.

Taylor Rhudy responded with a 3-pointer dagger on the other end of the court to put Andalusia on top 41-34.

Drish then knocked down two more free throws to give Andalusia a 43-38 advantage with 2:34 remaining.

Moments later, Rhudy made a strong drive through traffic and finished it off with a layup to put the Bulldogs up 45-38.

Both teams continued to battle it out over the final minutes, but it was the Bulldogs who emerged with the win.

Drish led the Bulldogs with 18 points and Daniels had 11 points.
