Ralls presented his list of streets to be resurfaced to the council Tuesday night. They include:

• Thru Street

• Albritton Road

• South Cotton from W. Watson to the railroad

• Packer Street

• Hillcrest from bypass to Snowden

• Hillcrest from bypass to the engineer’s office

• South Cotton from Feagin to Whatley

• East Pass

• Elm Street

• Grider Street

• Old Antioch

• Coffee Street

• Second Avenue

• Cadiz Extensions

• Auburn Avenue

Mayor Earl Johnson said the city will let bids and make final decisions based on projected costs.

“These16 streets are scattered all over town,” he said. “Some are in worse shape than others, but we left this up to our Public Works Department department head, who knows better than us their condition, and the worst need of care and upgrades.”
