Varsity Bulldogs fall to Ozark

The Andalusia Bulldogs Lady Bulldogs fell 46-32 and the varsity boys lost 66-60 to Carroll-Ozark on Tuesday night in Andalusia on Senior Night.

The Lady Bulldogs kept the contest close, but they were just unable to overcome the powerful Lady Eagles.
At halftime, the Lady Bulldogs trailed 16-10.
The Lady Bulldogs surged to start the third period and went on top 21-16 midway through the period, but the Lady Eagles battled back and to a 23-21 lead into the final period.
Shay Thomas led the way for the Lady Bulldogs with 9 points in the contest.
BOYS
CARROLL 66,
ANDALUSIA 60
After going down by nearly 21-9 start the game, the Andalusia Bulldogs rallied back, but couldn’t overcome the deficit in a 66-60 loss to the Carroll-Ozark Eagles.
Trevor Parker started the third period with 8 straight points to cut the lead down to 34-31, but the Eagles pushed the lead up to 54-42 heading into the fourth.
With Bulldogs trailing 61-51 with 4:02 left in the contest, play was briefly suspended when a stray cat came streaking across the court, sending players scattering.
Late 3-pointers from B.J. Anderson and Micah Stone made the final score 66-60.
Anderson led the Bulldogs with 17 points and Parker finished with 16.
