National Signing Day fever

It was that time of the year again, National Signing Day. It’s almost become a sort of holiday, or if you are like me and  a number of other college football fans, the adult version of Christmas.

The anticipation of whether your team is going to have a Top 10 recruiting class, or maybe just get the chance the sign that five-star athlete, gives you a rush as a fan.

Sure, we all know that just because you have a Top 10 recruiting class doesn’t mean you are automatically become a Top 10 program, but it’s still a lot of fun to speculate what a particular player or players could do for your team.

While players have been signing Letters of Intent for decades, with social media, media outlets like ESPN and the vast expansion and rapid release of information via the Internet, National Signing Day has become a huge event over the past few years.

For many fans, it gives them something to talk about between the end of one season and before practice ramps up in spring.

This year, it has once again been a fun day keep up with and now it’s time to turn our attention to spring practice, which is right around the corner.
