Mrs. Shirley Jean Charlton, age 64, of Dozier passed away Thurs., Feb. 4, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sun., Feb. 7, 2016, in the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jay Driver and Rev. Benjy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Good News Chapel cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sat., Feb. 6, 2016, at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Charlton, Jr. of Dozier; children, Scott (Amanda) Charlton of Rosehill,

Mark (Chandra) Charlton of Opp, Danny (April) Charlton of Chattanooga, Tenn., Keith (Stacey) Charlton of Andalusia, and Melinda (David) Farley of Rosehill; a brother, Thomas Wayne Mullins of Huntsville; a sister, Melissa Barton of Andalusia; and 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Charlton was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Lynn Charlton Williams; her father, Fred Mullins; and her mother, Evelyn Smith.

 

Jimmy L. Franklin

Jimmy L Franklin, 69, passed away Jan. 28, 2016, at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl H. and Margie Smith Franklin.

Mr. Franklin was born in Covington County and graduated from Andalusia High School and Troy University. He was married to Diane McClelland for 47 years and was self employed. After retirement, he moved to the Destin area and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Survivors include his wife, Diane McClelland Franklin; his sister, Gail Franklin Adams; and his brother, John Randy Franklin.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
