Marcus Ballard

Mr. Marcus Ballard, 73, of Andalusia passed away Wed., Feb. 10, 2016, in the Mobile Infirmary Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sat., Feb. 13, 2016, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie McVay officiating. Interment will follow at the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Keahey Funeral Home.

Mr. Ballard retired from the City of Andalusia. Survivors include one son, Mark “Bubba” Ballard of Troy; one daughter, Lyn Thurman (Brad Warren) of Enterprise; one sister, Virginia Brawner of Andalusia; grandchildren, Kala (Brad) Lee; Sandy “Bobo” McVay; Heather (Shawn) Hublar; Allen Ballard; Joseph (Stephanie) Ballard; Chloe Ballard; Patrick Ballard; Zachary; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ballard was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Grace Sowell Ballard; daughter, Tracy Michelle “Missy” Ballard in 2008; and his wife, Annie Ruth Kennedy Ballard in 2015.

 

Judy Ann Vanian Thomas

Mrs. Judy Ann Vanian Thomas, 79, of Red Level, passed away on Thurs., Feb. 11, 2016, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 13, 2016, at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Wesley Jeffcoat officiating the service. Visitation was held Friday at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, John H. Thomas of Red Level; son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Lisa Thomas of Andalusia; daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl Lynn Thomas of Montgomery, Sara Louise Thomas of Montgomery, and Linda Gail T. and Richard Ford of Marion, Ark.; grandchildren, Benjamin David Ford, Luke Thomas, Payton Thomas, and Mollison Dean; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Maxine Vanian of Arizona and Reuben and Sue Ping Vanian of Vasalia, Calif.; and sister and brother-in-law, Dorcas and Zoltan Tores of Los Angeles, Calif..

Pallbearers will include Gavin Donaldson, Dale Spears, Shep Lucas, Gary Hart, John Dorman, and John Johnston.

Patricia June Herrington

Mrs. Patricia June Herrington, 72, of Andalusia, passed away on Thurs., Feb. 11, 2016, in a Pensacola Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 14, 2016, at Carolina Baptist Church, interment will follow in Carolina Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 13, 2016, from Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Tracie Herrington of the Carolina Community; grandchildren, Frankie (Jennifer) Clauser, Andrea Herrington, Ashton Herrington, Austin Herrington, and Jaden Herrington; one great-grandchild, Larry Clauser; sister-in-law, Pam Frame; brother-in-law, Joe Herrington; and numerous nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shorty and Bertha Wiggins; husband, Larry Herrington; and daughter, Alesia Clauser.
