The Covington County Republican Party has cancelled its GOP candidate forum set for tonight in Florala.

Party chairman William Blocker said early forecasts show the possibility of severe weather at the time the forum was scheduled.

“I regret the inconvenience this may pose to you candidates who were looking forward to this opportunity to present your platform publicly but I encourage you to attend the Chamber of Commerce breakfast at the Andalusia Chamber on Wednesday morning at 7:30 as we recognize all our local candidates,” Blocker said. “Keep safe in the coming storm and we look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday morning.”
