Meredith’s Miracles invited sponsors and volunteers to an appreciation event Friday night as part of is 10th anniversary celebration of Cookies with Characters.  Kiley Spears, center, who birthed the idea for the event and brought it to fruition, was recognized with a plaque and a bouquet of roses. Shown with her are Frank Shaffer, John Reid McGlamory, Merrill Ann Culverhouse as Cinderella and Georgia Dean as Sleeping Beauty.  Kiwanis Community Center doors open at 11 a.m. today for the Silly Show, and the show starts at noon. Doors open at 4 p.m. for the Glow Show, which begins at 5 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
