For those who love Mexican food, there was a bit of good news in Tuesday’s Andalusia City County meeting.

The council approved a liquor license for Cindy Martinez, doing business at Mendoza’s, 600 Westgate Plaza.

John Tisdale, who owns Westgate Plaza, had said the popular restaurant would be back in Westgate in the near future.

The council also approved a one-time event alcohol license for the National Wild Turkey Federation for a fundraiser at the Kiwanis Community Center.
