When The Star-News went to press, local EMA officials were attempting to determine the extent of damages caused by high winds on Lockhart Church Road.

EMA director Susan Harris was en route to the scene and said structure damages were reported.

Wind damage to trees also was reported along the Covington/Escambia County line near Wing.
