The indictment alleges that Mullins subjected a child who was less than 12 years of age to sexual contact by touching her sexual and or intimate parts.

The second indictment says that he made his alleged victim touch his sexual or intimate parts.

According to Star-News archives, the Opp Police Department opened the investigation after it was reported that Mullins sexually abused the child on several occasions.

If convicted, Mullins faces a sentence of not less than two years and not more than 20 years in prison for a class B felony.

However, those convicted of sex crimes involving children will face no less than 10 years in prison.

Mullins was arrested this week on the two indictments and was booked into the Covington County Jail on a $400,000 bond.
