The annual Luncheon Pilot Club’s Square picnic is slated for next month.

Paula Hester of the organization said the event is set for April 21, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

“We are changing the desserts from store purchased to homemade cookies,” Hester said.

Price for the lunch is $6, which includes a sandwich of your choice, chips, drink and cookies.

“Entertainment will be provided again,” she said. “The band has played for us a couple years. It’s country music and they are good.”

Hester said through the fundraiser they are able to serve the local needs and concerns of the community.

“At Christmastime, we donated lap throws to the Andalusia Manor,” she said. “We donated money and time to Safe Harbor, Bethesda House. We donated $400 to help purchase bicycle helmets for Community Christmas. Also, we are sending a person to traumatic brain camp, and a caregiver plus an Anchor member this year. We donated money to Save-A-Life.”

To purchase a ticket, contact a pilot member or stop by the square.
