Funeral set for victim of industrial accident

Funeral services for the Red Oak man who died in an industrial accident Friday have been set for Monday afternoon.
Rodney David Maddox, 48, of the Red Oak community, passed away Friday March 25, 2016, in Opp, when a fork lift turned over on him in the 900 block of Douglas Avenue. Fire Department personnel and ambulance crew members began first aid on the victim and he was transported to the Mizell Memorial Hospital by ambulance, where he died of the injuries sustained in the accident.The Opp PD and OSHA are investigating the accident.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.. Mon., March 28, at Judson Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Foreman Funeral Home.
Maddox is survived by his son, Benjamin Cole Maddox of the Sanford community; two daughters, Danielle Colise of Pensacola and Bethany Lanell of the Sanford community; two grandchildren, Brayden Butts and William Butts; his parents, Edwin and Earline Maddox of Andalusia; his former wife, Debbie Maddox ; a brother and sister-in-law, Van and Brenda Maddox of Zion Chapel, AL; two nephews, Justin and Samuel; a niece, Darshana; and great niece, Railey
