Cotha Vedder “C.V.” Wallace

Mr. Cotha Vedder “C.V.” Wallace of Enterprise passed away on Sat., March 26, 2016, at Medical Center Enterprise. He was 91.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sat., April 2, 2016, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise with the Rev. John McCrummen officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Methodist Church Cemetery in Rose Hill with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at noon and continuing until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First United Methodist Church, 217 S Main St, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Mr. Wallace was born Sept. 30, 1924, to the late Kendrick and Mila Wallace. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in World War II. He graduated from Auburn University and had a lengthy, successful career in the saving and loan industry. He was a past member of the Enterprise Lions Club and a member of First United Methodist Church, where he participated in many church events. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent much time farming, fishing, gardening, and working with his roses.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Barbara Wells Wallace, and a son, William Wallace, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Steven Wallace of Enterprise; two nephews, Lawrence Capobianco (Rosie) of Del Mar, Calif., and Ronald Capobianco of New Jersey; two nieces, Sandra Capobianco and Christine Capobianco (Reggie Drakeford), all of New Jersey.

Glenda Hazel

Mrs. Glenda Hazel, 68, a resident of Dozier, Ala., died Wed., March 30, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sat., April 2, 2016, at Brantley Word of Faith Church with the Rev. Jimmy Miller and the Rev. Keith Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Dozier is survived by her husband of 47 years, Addison M. Dozier; three sons, Tim (Cami) Dozier, Tony (Nikki) Dozier, and Patrick (Shelina) Dozier; five grandchildren; parents, Joe and Marie Davis; two sisters, Helen (John) Sims and Karen (Terry) Bullard; five uncles; six aunts; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. until service time.
