Blue Lake Methodist camp is opening its camp to the public in May.

Program Director Coordinator Eric Hindmon said that all ages are invited to the camp on May 14.

The purpose of the day’s event, he said, is to gain more information about sending children to Blue Lake camp this summer or just to see a great kids concert.

“This is the first time in many years we have opened this place up to the public to come out and see what we are doing, take tours, play games, shoot bows and arrows, and listen to an awesome concert,” Hindmon said. “We want our community to know that we are open to groups from all over the place to come out and enjoy Blue Lake.

“If you have been to Blue Lake Camp but it has been many years or if you have never been out to this awesome place, you are invited to see what’s going on out here,” he said. “We would love the opportunity to host your group or have a blast with your kids at summer camp.”

The Lads will also be in concert that day.

Hindmon said the only cost is concessions that day.

The event will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. For more information, call 222-5407.
