The Lady Red Eagles fell on the road Saturday.

The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles took a late lead Saturday at T.R. Miller, but the Lady Tigers pulled off a 4-3 win in extra innings.

Tammi Hilson got things off and running with a line-drive single to center to start the top of the first. Two ground-ball outs later, and Hilson stood on third with Anna Bulger at the plate.

A passed ball on a 2-and-1 count allowed Hilson to score the first run of the game. Bulger was then hit by a pitch, but was left stranded at first following a strikeout.

In the bottom of the first, Mallori Floyd sent a line drive to fence and motored her way around to third for a leadoff triple.

Abby Walker then struck out the next Lady Tiger for the first out of the inning.

Myra Reiss tied the game with a one-out single to score Floyd from third.

A couple of errors followed that allowed Reiss to score to give T.R. Miller a 2-1 lead.

Walker bared down and picked up strikeouts on the next to batters to end the first inning.

Pitching and defense took over at that point and the score remained 2-1 after five innings of play.

In top of the sixth, Hilson got things started again for the Lady Eagles with a line-drive single to center.

Hope Gunter then drive a walk and Walker loaded the bases with an infield single.

T.R. Miller then got two straight force outs at home.

Bella Worley drew a bases-loaded walk that scored Walker for the tying run, and then Bulger scored on a passed ball to put Pleasant Home up 3-2.

T.R. Miller responded by knotting the game up 3-3 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

With tie-breaker rules in effect, a runner was placed on second base.

Pleasant Home couldn’t get anything going in the top of the eighth, but a one-out single in the bottom of the eighth gave the Lady Tigers a 4-3 win.
