The Enterprise Police Department is investigating a string of shootings, including a report of shots fired at Larry’s Barbecue’s Enterprise location on Monday night, April 18, The Southeast Sun reported.

At 8:48 p.m., the EPD responded to a call that shots had been fired at the restaurant, according to Public Information Officer Sgt. Billy Haglund.

Witnesses told officers that three to six shots were fired. Two of those rounds penetrated the exterior of the building into the interior of the business. There were no injuries.

The suspect(s) fired the shots from a vehicle on the roadway and fled the area. Police are searching for a dark colored mid 90s Nissan Sentra that was possibly used in the shooting.

There have been two deaths following shootings in March and April.

Since the April 11 shooting, police have responded to “several shots-fired calls,” the police chief said.

Enterprise Mayor Kenneth Boswell told reporters in a press conference Tuesday that there is no indication the shootings are related to gang activity.
