Andalusia High School’s A Sound Tradition will be sporting new uniforms when football season opens in August, thanks to proceeds of a local sales tax or education.
Band director Bennie Shellhouse reported that the bid process is complete and uniforms should arrive on August 20.
“This is a direct result of the sales tax money generated from the city,” Superintendent Ted Watson said. “This is one of the first of the large expenditures made possible through the schools.”
Shellhouse said the school should get eight years of wear from the uniforms, which feature the school’s recently adopted “A” logo.
