Opp’s First United Methodist Church has launched a garden to help feed those who may not have access to fresh vegetables.

“Our church has undertaken the ministry to help provide fresh vegetables to those persons in our community who may otherwise not be able to attain them,” said the Rev. Mark Lilly.

The vegetables will be used as part of the FUMC’s Share the Lamb food pantry ministry that services the community.

The food pantry is open on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 10 a.m. until noon.

“Plus, they will be used to share with low income and homebound elderly persons in the community,” Lilly said.
