The Andalusia Bulldogs’ soccer season came to an end Saturday in the first round of the playoffs after falling 3-2 at home to Faith Academy.

Andalusia came out the gate with a strong attack and Wain Yongkuma came around the edge, beat the Faith Academy goalkeeper to the ball and then fired a shot around a defender into the net of an early Bulldog lead.

Faith Academy got a chance for a penalty kick after Andalusia was called for a handball in the box, but the shot hit the corner and sailed safely out of play.

The Bulldogs defense remained strong and kept the pressure on the Faith Academy goalkeepr, but the score remained 1-0 at the end of the first half.

At the start of the second half, a foul on the Bulldogs gave Faith Academy another penalty kick.  The kick found the back of the net and tied the game 1-1.

Several minutes later the Bulldogs pushed the ball into the Faith Academy box, and after a battle for the ball, an Andalusia player found the net to put the Bulldogs on top 2-1.

Faith Academy tied the contest a few minutes later with a long goal.

With time winding down, Faith Academy took the lead with a late goal and held off the Bulldogs for a 3-2 victory.
